Here is the story. One evening Dave Sullivan was doing practice flying with his 50% Yak - huge 140in wingspan, 60 lb plane. Suddenly we saw something felt out of the plane. That was the left wheel together with broken shaft. That was not a problem for Dave. Here is how he landed this beautiful bird without a scratch. Good job, Dave.
By the way, few minutes later the search party found that wheel out there in the grass. With new stronger shaft the plane was flying again not much time later that evening. Observe and learn.
