Mather News – September 2009
Summer is over and we had the last meeting at the field on Saturday, September 5th.
SAFETY: At the meeting we discussed the recent accident where an individual armed his electric plane on the shaded tables then bumped the throttle by accident. His forearm arm was badly cut and required 9 stitches.
The safety rules strongly recommend that the planes be armed out by the transmitter impound. We will look at placing a table out by the flight boxes in or to help facilitate the arming process.
The Labor Day meeting also included a great sausage BBQ and chips for all of the attending members and guests. Dean also helped out with flight training on the buddy box for the guests.
Greg did a great job with the sausages. Best ever!!
Remember that we are back to the first Thursday of the month for our meetings. Nominations for elections are in October and voting at the November meeting.
Fly Safe!
